Joseph F. Madeo, III died March 16, 2016. He was born in Washington D.C. and was a son of the late Joseph F. and Ruth Curley Madeo, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Chris Madeo. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Nicholas Allen will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 11:00am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family will serve as pall bearers.
Mr. Madeo is survived by his wife, Martha Smotherman Madeo; son, Rollie Parsley and his wife Libby of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Aggie Madeo Davis and her husband Carey of Murfreesboro, Jane Gerl and her husband Bill of Atlanta, GA, Melissa Madeo of Lewisburg, TN; brothers, Pete Madeo and Richard Madeo; sisters, Margretta Morris, Mary Madeo, and Martha Martin; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren who he adored.
Mr. Madeo was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army, received his B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee and was the former owner of the Bedford Cheese Company.
