Dr. Joseph Yates Garrison, age 73, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ellen B. Garrison; son, Colonel John Neal and his wife Kelig; and grandchildren, Solenn Neal and Tadek Neal.

Dr. Garrison was the Review and Compliance Coordinator for the Tennessee Historic Commission Office for more than 32 years. He completed more than 70,000 federal section 106 review requests and authored a book on the review process and Game Theory. He also authored a 7-book series detailing the life and times of his alter ego, Hozer.

A memorial service to remember the life of Dr. Joseph Y. Garrison will be held Thursday, December 9 ^th , 2021 at 10:00 AM at Central Christian Church in Murfreesboro. Mike Martin will deliver the eulogy and Rocky Leonhardt will lead prayers.
