Joni Brown Russ age 48 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Monday May 28, 2012 at her home. A native of Bliss, NY, she was the daughter of the late Russell Howard and Agnes Jean Bessey Brown. Joni is survived by her husband, Thomas Michael Russ; children, Shauna Kemp Close and Chelsea Renea Russ both of Murfreesboro, TN, Cora Mae Brown of Columbia, TN, Kristen Leigh Hartman of Winchester, TN, Christopher Russell Brown, Jon Paul Russ and Michael Ray Russ all of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Russell Henry Brown and Joseph Richard Brown both of Murfreesboro, TN; 9 grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro, with Rev. Joe Elliott officiating. Joni was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was a school bus driver with the Rutherford County Schools.
