Obituary

JONATHAN BRAD BRADLEY SLEDGE, age 44, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, February 1, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of John Benjamin and Linda Faye Sledge. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Terry Smith and Randall Matlock will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Karen Payne Sledge, daughter, Lauren Nicole Sledge, parents, Benny and Linda Sledge, brother and sister-in-law, Trevor and Libby Sledge, all of Murfreesboro, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and June Payne of Chattanooga, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Susan and Phillip Robinson of Lascassas, Jennifer and Bill Hepler of Orlando, FL, and Sara Payne of Atlanta. Mr. Sledge was an Eagle Scout, a 1982 graduate of Riverdale High School, and attended David Lipscomb University. He was a former member of North Blvd Church of Christ and was currently attending Fellowship Bible Church. He was an owner of SledgeCraft along with his family. Pallbearers will be Matt Sledge, Chris Sledge, Les Westbrooks, Nathaniel Robinson, Andrew Robinson, and Phillip Robinson. Memorials may be made to Caris Health Care or to Habitat for Humanity in his memory. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. 615-893-5151, www.woodfinchapel.com
