Jon Mark Shaw, age 47, of Murfreesboro passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at home after a long battle with cancer. He was born on December 13, 1968 in Columbia, TN to Joe Mack and Martha Etheridge Shaw. He married Marie Minogue on July 31, 1993 at Brentwood Holy Family Catholic Church, Brentwood, TN. They have been married 24 years. His wife survives in Murfreesboro with their daughter, Kelsie and son, Carson.

Jon Mark is also survived by his parents, Joe Mack and Martha Shaw of Columbia, sister, Monica (Darrell) Graham of Columbia, numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members including his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Kathleen Minogue.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00am Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Mark Sappenfield will officiate. Interment will be 1:00pm Thursday at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.

Jon Mark was a 1988 graduate of Columbia Central High School. He served as a combat medic in the US Army and was involved in the invasion of Panama. He attended MTSU which led to a successful career in sales. He was a devout Catholic and attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He loved sports, hiking, ghost hunting, history and spending time with his family. Jon Mark loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend whose presence will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in his memory.
