Obituary

Johnny Mullins, age 75 of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. A native of LaVergne, he was the son of the late Walter Lee and Lilly Adkins Neal Mullins. He attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and retired as a tool and die maker for Ideal Tridon in Smyrna. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He is survived by his wife Susan Mullins of Murfreesboro; children and their spouses Steve (Jane) Mullins, Jeff (Bethany) Mullins and Jenny (David) Schloot all of Smyrna; step-children Commander Samuel Davis of Washington, DC, Mary Elisabeth Davis of Murfreesboro, Rachel Davis (Tracey Hayes) of LaVergne and Sarah Davis (John McCadams) of Washington, DC; a sister Ruby (Sonny) Young of Lascassas; fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and his faithful companion Ziva the poodle. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the Woodfin Funeral Chapel Smyrna where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday with Michael Williams officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.woodfinchapel.com
