Johnny Mullins, age 75 of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. A native of LaVergne, he was the son of the late Walter Lee and Lilly Adkins Neal Mullins. He attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and retired as a tool and die maker for Ideal Tridon in Smyrna. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He is survived by his wife Susan Mullins of Murfreesboro; children and their spouses Steve (Jane) Mullins, Jeff (Bethany) Mullins and Jenny (David) Schloot all of Smyrna; step-children Commander Samuel Davis of Washington, DC, Mary Elisabeth Davis of Murfreesboro, Rachel Davis (Tracey Hayes) of LaVergne and Sarah Davis (John McCadams) of Washington, DC; a sister Ruby (Sonny) Young of Lascassas; fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and his faithful companion Ziva the poodle. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the Woodfin Funeral Chapel Smyrna where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday with Michael Williams officiating.
