John D. Wiseman, Jr., age 92, of Murfreesboro passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015. He was a native of Eagleville, TN and the son of the late John D. and Sallie Moon Wiseman, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Alice Wiseman, sister, Lurlie Wiseman Allen and a grandchild, Ryan Guin. Visitation from 12:30 until 1:45pm Saturday with a Memorial Service at 2:00pm Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. John Hinkle will officiate. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors. He is survived by his son, John Wiseman of LaVergne, daughter, Dianne Wiseman Parker of Murfreesboro, grandchildren, Cody Parker, Thomas Wiseman, James Wiseman, Kyle Wiseman and Chase Spears. Mr. Wiseman was a retired math teacher from Tenafly High School in Bergen County, NJ, where he was Debate Coach, Tennis Coach, and served as an EMT and volunteer firefighter with the River Vale Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir, served in the US Army during WWII, was active in the Kittrell Volunteer Fire Department and was an Author on firefighting tactics.
