JOHN L. SULLIVAN, JR, age 76, of Murfreesboro, TN died Sunday, August 8, 2010. He was native of Walter Hill and the son of the late John L. and Nannie Neely Sullivan, Sr. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Clayton and James Sullivan, sisters, Virginia Eades, Thelma Herrod, and Dorothy Leverette. Funeral service will be 10:00am Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Philip Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Blanche M. Sullivan, sisters, Ruth Barrett, Sarah Pruitt, Mae Brewer all of Murfreesboro, and Louise Oden of Smyrna, numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Sullivan was a retired SMSgt in the US Air Force, with over 20 years of service, and retired employee of the Alvin C. York VA Hospital supply department. He was baptized as a teenager at Powells Chapel Baptist Church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
