John Thomas Stiles , age 76 of Smyrna, TN, passed away Thursday August 10, 2017. Born in East Saint Louis, IL, he was the son of the late Joe Romeo and Thelma Olive Elam Stiles. Mr. Stiles was also preceded in death by a son Jerry Wayne Rich and a brother, Bobby Stiles.

Mr. Stiles is survived by sons, Timmie Rich of Smyrna, TN and Keith Stiles of Columbia, TN; daughters, Shirley Hasan and Darlene Hale both of Smyrna, TN; brothers, Jimmy Stiles of Hillsboro, TN and Billy Stiles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters, JoAnn Willis of Rockvale, TN, Cinda Stiles of Donelson, TN, Patsy Locke of Ellwood City, PA, Brenda Ward of Phoenix, AZ, and Linda Carter of Lascassas, TN; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna, with Pastor Bryan Bratcher officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
