John Robert Steelman, age 63 of Murfreesboro formerly of Cookeville died Friday April 20, 2018. He was born in Nashville and moved to Cookeville in 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Steelman and Louise Atnip Steelman Comer, also a brother, James Ronald Steelman. Mr. Steelman was a member of First Baptist Cookeville.

He is survived by sisters, Jean Wheaton of North Carolina, Carolyn Johnston of Nolensville; brother, Tom Steelman and wife Sandra of Murfreesboro; nieces Allison Hamilton, Janice Roberts,Terry Roberts, Debbie Drigger, Carolan Bryant; nephews, Jamie Steelman and Bobby Thames; sister-in-law; Kelli Toney.
