JOHN C. SMITH age 88 of Lavergne, TN, died Sunday September 6, 2009. He was the son of the late Mike and Eunice Clydia Young Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by daughter, Cindy Vaughn of Lavergne, son, Ronnie Smith of Nashville, TN, brothers, Charles Smith of Nashville, Mike Smith, Jr. of Brentwood, and Paul Smith of Murfreesboro. Sisters, Isabelle Jackson of Madison, TN, Ruby Riggs of Franklin, and Virginia Burk of Columbia, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Mapleview Cemetery with Brother Foy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery. Mr. Smith was a member of the Baptist Church and a retired Printer. He was preceded in death by brothers, Sterling, Earl, Lonnie, and E. L. Smith and by a sister, Gertice Hayes.
