John H. Riggs, age 88 of Murfreesboro died August 11, 2014 at his home. He was a native of Murfreesboro and was the son of the late, William and Lillian Jarratt Riggs. He was a World War II Veteran and retired Dairy Farmer. Mr. Riggs is survived by his son, Alan Riggs and wife Mysti of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Richard Harris of Smyrna, Daniel Riggs of Nashville, and Lindsay Ricketts and husband Chance of Nashville; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Hunter, Chelseann, Delyla, and Riley; sister, Marjorie Chapman of Murfreesboro, and Richard Riggs of Franklin. Graveside service will be 10:30AM Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be 4PM to 7PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel www.woodfinchapel.com
