JOHN SMITH ONEAL, age 86, of Smyrna, TN. passed away on July 19, 2009. A native of Lincoln County, TN. he was the son of the late Jack and Mary Gunther ONeal. Mr. ONeal is survived by his wife Carolyn Cox ONeal of Smyrna, TN, daughters and son in laws, Debra and Mark Brown of Murfreesboro and Karen and Carl Boyd of Smyrna and son and daughter in law Gary and Teresa ONeal of Smyrna, Sisters Helen Mitchell and Emma Jean Watson and Brother Ellison ONeal all of Lincoln County, Grandchildren, Brandon ONeal, Ryan ONeal, Adam Boyd, Conner Boyd and Brittany Boyd Oliver of Smyrna, and Whit Brown of Murfreesboro. Funeral Services will be 11:00 Wednesday at the LaVergne United Methodist Church with Buddy Royston officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. ONeal was retired from Tennessee Farmers CO-OP where he was employed for 65 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Evelyn Whitaker ONeal of Lincoln County.
