John D. North, III, age 51 of Murfreesboro, died Monday, October 26, 2015 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was a native of Covington, KY and was a son of the late John D. North II and Darlene Carol Riegler North. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Irene Kay North; a son, Justin D. North of Kentucky; step- daughter, Laurel Ann of Cleves, Ohio; a brother, Carl North and wife Patti of Mayesville, KY; sisters, Melinda North and Susie North both of Ohio; grandchildren, Jerrica, Wyatt, Tristen, Damian, Kaia, Mykala, Syndle, Gracie, Isaiah, and Alexandria; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Liam; as well as a host of other loving family and friends. Mr. North retired from the United States Army with twenty-six years of service and worked at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center as a contract officer. Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 30, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of a memorial service with military honors beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
