John
Kubalak
November 26, 1936 – September 5, 2025
John Kubalak, lovingly known to all as Jack, was born on November 26, 1936, in Superior, Wisconsin. He passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, at the age of 88.
Jack grew up in Wisconsin, attending Catholic schools where he developed his deep faith and strong values. He graduated from Madison High School before entering the United States Army on April 6, 1955. Jack proudly served his country while stationed in Europe, earning the rank of Private First Class before being honorably discharged on March 13, 1958.
On April 19, 1975, Jack married the love of his life, Eva, in Las Vegas. Their marriage was a lasting bond of love and commitment that endured until his passing. Together, they built a life centered around faith, family, and devotion to one another.
A man of quiet strength, Jack lived his Catholic faith fully and passed it on to his family. He guided his wife and stepdaughter into the Church and instilled his faith in his grandchildren, Amrith and Jackie Kahlon, raising them to know and love Jesus. He insisted on Sunday Mass as a cornerstone of family life, leading by example in both discipline and devotion.
Jack also embraced the role of father to his stepchildren, Cheryl Kahlon and Les Thomas, raising them with love and guidance as though they were his own. His influence helped shape their lives, providing them with stability, values, and the assurance of a father's steady presence.
Jack and Eva later dedicated themselves to raising their grandchildren, offering not only care but also stability, guidance, and unconditional love. To Amrith and Jackie, he was not only a grandfather but also a true father figure. He taught them how to fish, how to drive, and—more importantly—how to be present and supportive for the people you love. His lessons were never just practical skills, but life values that continue to shape who they are today.
Known for his calm, cool, and collected nature, Jack was always the steady hand and gentle presence his family relied on. He went out of his way to ensure that those he loved were taken care of, never asking for recognition but always leaving an impact through his quiet acts of devotion.
Jack's life was defined by faith, service, and family. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped, the example he set, and the love he gave so generously. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
