John Jackie Karstetter, age 59, passed away June 21, 2012. A native of Lewistown, PA and Canton, OH he was the son of the late John Karstetter and Ruth Blankenship Karstetter. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Feldpusch and stepson, James Thomas Keene. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00AM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Smyrna. Pastor Kevin Allen will officiate. Burial will follow at 1:30PM at Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton, KY with full military rites. Mr. Karstetter is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Myrna Jones Karstetter of Smyrna, TN; five brothers, Gary Feldpusch of Elkhorn City, KY, Marshall Feldpusch of Canton, OH, Richard Karstetter of Warrenton, VA, Stephen Karstetter of Massillon, OH and Ronald Karstetter of Canton, OH; two sisters, Cheryl Tolentino of Alameda, CA and Carol Bowles of Dale City, VA and 20 nieces and nephews. Mr. Karstetter was retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service. He also was retired from the Department of Veteran Affairs. Mr. Karstetter was an avid antique collector and was a diehard Cleveland Browns Fan. The United States Army will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Nashville, TN. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Smyrna. 615-459-3254
