John A. "Jack" Jones, age 96, of Leanna Community died September 30, 2015 at his home. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 73 years Mildred Arms Jones who died in 2013. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Jones is survived by his son, Andrew "Doodle" Jones of Leanna; the mother of his grandchildren, Sue Jones; grandchildren, Andy Jones and wife Ellen, Teresa Dunaway and her husband David all of Leanna; great-grandchildren, John Dunaway and wife McCall, James Dunaway, Clay Jones, and Kayla Jones. Great-great-grandchildren are Cale and Emmett Dunaway; and special niece, Mickie Haynes. Mr. Jones was a member of Florence Baptist Church and a retired farmer. Visitation will be from 2:00pm until 6:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
