John Howard Jones, age 68, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 8th, 2018. He was born on March 30th, 1950 in Rapid City, South Dakota and had called Smyrna his home since 1960. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Doris M. Olsen Jones and sister, Linda Pope.

He is survived by his brother, Chuck Jones of Smyrna; and two nieces, Tracy Evans and Linsday Pope; along with his loving church family and many friends.

John was a long-time member of LifePoint Church in Smyrna, formerly First Baptist Church of Smyrna. He graduated from the Tennessee School for the Blind in Nashville, TN in 1972 and was a proud member of the Lions Club in Smyrna.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at LifePoint Church in Smyrna. Dr. Benny Woods will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the main auditorium.
