John Claibourne Hester, age 76, of Naples, Florida passed away on September 14, 2018. Visitation will be held at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro, Tennessee from 10:00 am until noon on September 19th with the service immediately following. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The services will be officiated by Joe Rushing.

John was born in Nashville, Tennessee on April 19, 1942. He graduated from Hillsboro High School and continued on to receive a B.S. from the University of Tennessee and an M.B.A. from American InterContinental University.

John was married to Janet L. Alexander of Murfreesboro, Tennessee for 42 years. He worked as a Chief Financial Officer for 40 years in the healthcare field. John enjoyed golf, coaching his son, watching UT football, and playing guitar. However, most important to him was spending time with family.

John is survived by Janet and children, Jeremiah Hester (Kristin) and Sherry Ferrelli-Ogle (Stephen); brother, Joe Hester; grandchildren, Olivia Hester, Jake & Joey Ferrelli, Sarah Ogle; and ten nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Hester and a son, John Thomas Hester.
