JOHN MASSIE HERITAGE, age 81, of Huntsville, AL died Wednesday, October 22, 2008. He was a native of DeKalb, MS and the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Mabel Jay Heritage. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Dr. Eugene Cotey will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife: Jeannette Heritage of Huntsville, AL, son and daughter-in-law: Darden F. and Sarah Heritage of Huntsville, AL, daughters and sons-in-law: Susan and John Hylton of Norcross, GA, Janna and Phillip Dahl of Franklin, TN, brothers: A.J. Heritage, Jr, and James Heritage, sisters: Clara Ann Harris and Sarah Reece, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son: Derek Heritage, and a sister: Ellen Ruth Lashley. Mr. Heritage was a member of the First Baptist Church, a graduate of Auburn University, and a retired Pharmacist with Alvin C. York VA Medical Center and Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
