John Parrott Halliburton, age 86, of Murfreesboro passed away on September 14, 2014. He was a native of Detroit, MI and the son of the late William Andrew and Alice Pauline Parrott Halliburton. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Anne Halliburton and brother, William Halliburton. Funeral service will be 10:30am Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Dan Watts will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Halliburton, daughter, Kristy Midencey and her husband Paul of Gulf Breeze, FL, son, Bob Halliburton and his wife Donna of St. Louis, MO, stepson, Keith Saeger and his wife Susan of Mt. Juliet, sisters, Betty Jean McKenzie, Martha Pauline Cook and Linda Bell Halliburton, grandchildren, Nicholas Valletto, John Valletto and Kayley Halliburton, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Mr. Halliburton was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation.
