John N. DeJarnatt, Jr. age 93 of Murfreesboro died Wednesday September 13, 2017. He was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by his wife, Velma DeJarnatt; his parents, John DeJarnatt, Sr., and Ethel "Carter" DeJarnatt; brothers, James DeJarnatt, Austin DeJarnatt, sister, Betty Jo DeJarnatt. Mr. DeJarnatt was a member of Third Baptist Church and 1943 graduate of Buchanan High School. He had worked at Murfreesboro Pure Milk and various other retail stores, before owning and operating his Big John's Market on Bridge Ave.

Mr. DeJanatt is survived by his son, Robert DeJarnatt and wife Mary of Murfreesboro; brother, Robert "Bob" DeJarnatt of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Nicole Ortiz, John Gonzales, Amanda Valadez.

Memorials may be made in memory of Mr. DeJarnatt to Third Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Saturday September 23, 2017 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Steve Hutson will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12Noon at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. www.woodfinchapel.com
