Dr. John "Jack" Charles Corban, of Smyrna, Tennessee passed Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the age of 80.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Martha; and his children, Jennifer Jarrell and her husband Louis and Shannon Hardin and her husband Bruce. Jack will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Max, Hallie, and Grace; and his sister, Mary Lynne Haggard.  Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Mary Smith Corban; and his brother, Sidney Corban.

Jack was a native of Springfield, TN and had called Smyrna his home since 1967. He was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State College and received his Doctorate from the University of Tennessee Memphis Medical School. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Jack later retired as a Civil Service Medical Examiner with Nashville Metro. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed.

Memorials in memory of Jack can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Visitation will Saturday, October 27,2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
