Joe Ramsey (J.R.) Lowe, age 82, of Christiana, died November 26, 2009 at V.A. in Nashville. A native of Christiana he was the son of the late A.E. and Ettie Eleanor Vassor Lowe Sr. He is also preceded in death by a son Bobby Lynn Lowe, two brothers; Bill and Sewell Lowe, and a sister Jewel Brandon. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Reverend Edgar Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Lowe was a farmer, a member of Christiana Baptist Church and served in the Army during World War II. He is survived by his loving companion Grace Marie Eckel, sons and daughter in law; Donnie Lowe of Murfreesboro, and Mark and Bonnie Lowe of Murfreesboro, daughter and son in law; Michelle and Greg Ferran of Murfreesboro, brothers; James Ward, Rayburn and Estelle Lowe Jr. all of Murfreesboro, grandchildren; Nicholas and Christopher Ferran, Jason and Michael Lowe and Brandy Herman, and a great grandson Kobe Lowe.
