JOE ORVILLE LONG, age 69, of Lavergne, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at his residence. A native of Jackson County TN he was the son of the late Bill and Hattie Warrick Long. Services will be Saturday at 2:30 PM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna with Rev. Joe Sissom officiating. Internment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Long is survived by his daughters and sons in law; Tiwana Cissy (Michael) Victory of Lavergne, Lavena (Franklin) Caddwalleder of Dallas, Texas and Stephanie Cricket (Nathan) Blankenship of Lafayette, TN., son and daughter in law; Jeff (Barbara) Long of Smyrna, TN., sisters and brother in law; Virginia (Grady) Anderson of Smyrna, TN. and Linda Long of Doniphon, Missouri, brother and sister in law; Steve (Gaye) Long of Nashville, TN., twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Long was retired from Aetna Insurance and Longs Construction Company. He was also an auctioneer. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
