Joanna Ruth Miller-Whitmire, age 36, passed away Thursday November 20, 2014, along with her unborn child, April Whitmire. Joanna is survived by her husband, Scott Whitmire; parents, Harold and Carolyn Beernink Miller of Christiana, TN; brother Seth Thomas Miller of Christiana, TN; sister, Katherine Leigh Miller of Murfreesboro, TN; grandmother, Cuba Miller of Murfreesboro; father and mother-in-law, Ken and Ruth Whitmire of Cincinnati, OH; her loving puppy, Janie. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Reverends Brian Harrell, James Sorrells, and Kris Smotherman officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Joanna was a member of Christ Community Church in Christiana, TN, and the Librarian at LaVergne Lake Elementary.
