Joann "Grannie" Brim, age 89, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulva and Mamie Colbert; husband, James T. Brim; brother, Ted Colbert; and sisters, Katherine and Inez.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy Brim and his wife Rhonda, Jack Brim and his wife Jan, and Janice Elliott and her husband Mike; grandchildren, Jennifer, Julia, Philip, Michele, and Sean; great grandchildren, Ella, Emma, Evelyn, Jackson-Paul, Harrison, and Easton; sister-in-law, Ruth Colbert; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Joann was a native of Nashville, Tennessee and member of Life Point Church where she was still actively involved in the Women's Mission. She was a devoted mother, Grannie, and friend.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 10:00-12:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family with Steven Wandless, Tyler Parris, Stephen Craig, Ronnie Brim, Mark Agee, Sean Sullivan, Chris Kirkland, and David Sanders serving as pallbearers.
