Obituary

Joan Karen Waggoner, age 77 of La Vergne, TN. died Friday April 10, 2020. She was a native of Huntingdon, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband Buford D. Waggoner Jr., son James Waggoner of Smyrna TN, parents James Lloyd and Dorothy Parish. She was a retired Legal Secretary, Law Clerk, and Benched Magistrate. She was an AKC Licensed Breeder of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed of 'Waggalot Kennels' until she retired. Karen was a staunch advocate for Native American rights and was a deep lover of animals.


Mrs. Waggoner is survived by her sons, Bill Pearl and wife Maria of  Fowler, Colorado, Brian K. Waggoner, and Bradley W. Waggoner of La Vergne, TN. daughter-in-law, Katie Waggoner of Mt. Juliet, TN. nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Parish of Ottawa, TN
