Mrs. Joan Anderson Turbeville, age 78, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at St. Thomas West Hopital surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Turbeville was born on February 6, 1939 in Nashville,TN to the late Moody W. and Anise Orton Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Turbeville with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. She grew up attending Tulip Street Methodist Church and was a 1957 graduate of East Nashville High School. Mrs. Turbeville was an elder at Central Christian Church where she had been a member since 1976. Over the years, she worked for the State of Tennessee Unemployment Office and A.E. Finley and Associates.

Mrs. Turbeville is survived by two daughters, Tinsley Preston and her husband Tony and Tiffany Fee and her husband Troy; three grandchildren, Megan Russell and her husband Clint, Maggie Preston, and Kennedy Fee; two great-grandchildren, Kelton Russell and Katie Russell; and brother, Robert Anderson.

Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church, 404 East Main Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Steve Odom will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
