Joan Womack Fowler, age 81, of Smyrna, TN, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014. A native of Rock Island, TN she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Margie Sanders Womack. Mrs. Fowler was also preceded in death by her husband, James Claude Fowler and brother, William Womack. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Wayne Cornwell will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Fowler is survived by her two sons, Ronnie Fowler of McMinnville, and Randy Fowler of Smyrna; daughter, Tammy Grogan of Smyrna; and five grandchildren, Dale Fowler, Dylan Fowler, Evan Hutto, Hailey Grogan and Alexia Grogan. Mrs. Fowler was a charter member of Highland Heights Church of Christ. She was retired from Castner Knott's where she worked in retail. Doug Caldwell, Mark Womack, Paul Wisdom, Tim Eggerton, Mark O'Neal and Arthur Quick will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:00AM until the service time at 10:00AM all at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
