JOAN NONIA STEFANO CANNELLA, age 69, of Murfreesboro, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009. She was born in Patchogue, Long Island, NY to the late Francis and Angelina Viviano Stefano, then resided in Hagerstown, Maryland for 13 years. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 48 years, Joseph Carl Cannella, Sr, and also by a great grandson, Joseph Noel French, Jr. Funeral Mass will be 11:30am Monday at St. Lukes Catholic Church. Father Richard Gagnon will officiate. She is survived by son, Joseph Cannella, Jr of Old Hickory, daughters, Dawn (Geoffrey) Cannella-Parsh of Dallas, TX, Tracey Cannella of Murfreesboro, and Joni Cannella of Murfreesboro, sisters, Theresa (Carmine) Abruzzo of Rockledge, FL, and Margaret (Robert) Hagelberg of Hagertown, MD, brother, Frank (Colleen) Stefano of Yorba Linda, CA, grandchildren, Brittany (Jeremy) Stanfield, Joseph Noel French, Joseph C. Cannella, III, Lacy N.P. Cannella, and Meighan Parsh, loyal companion, Raggs , the yorkie poo, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and many friends. Mrs. Cannella was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church and a Homemaker. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203-9622 in her memory. Pallbearers will be Joseph Noel French, Jeremy Stanfield, Geoffrey Parsh, Frank Stefano, Chris Cannella, and Monte Hilmoe.
