Jo Ann S. Garvin, age 53, of LaVergne, TN. died Wednesday April 5, 2011 at Skyline Medical Center. A native of Davidson County she was preceded in death by her parents Joe B. Smith and Mary Coleman Smith. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Trevor Jones. Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bishop Lifferth with officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Garvin is survived by her husband John Ronnie Garvin; sons and daughters in law, John (Pam) Garvin of Smyrna, Daniel Garvin, Jacob Garvin and Billy (Katherine) Garvin all of LaVergne; daughter, Carol Tomlinson of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Mary Jo Fann and Patricia Robbins; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Mrs. Garvin was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was previously employed as a Pharmacy Technician at Southern Hills Medical Center. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro. 893-5151
