Jo Bragg Penn, age 80, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015. A native of Paris, TN, she was the daughter of the late Jo Bunn Killebrew and Ima Jean Parrish. Mrs. Penn was also preceded in death by a son, James Bragg and by a sister, Ginny Harrison. Mrs. Penn is survived by a son, Greg Bragg of Roswell, GA; daughter, Jamie Bragg of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, David Neville of Pine Mountain, GA; sister, Gayle Muskus of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Tyler Bragg of Roswell, GA, Trevor Bragg of Roswell, GA, and Hunter Thurby of Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Penn has been a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church since the late 50's. She spent most of her nursing career as a registered nurse in various VA hospitals including Murfreesboro, TN; Sepulveda, CA; Atlanta, GA; Johnson City, TN, until retirement in Gulfport, MS. She returned to Murfreesboro in May of 1994 and spent several years working tirelessly with the local Murfreesboro Hospice organization. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 907 East Main Street, Murfreesboro, TN, with a memorial service in the sanctuary to follow at 5:00 pm to be officiated by Pastor Chris Warren.
