JAMES E. SCRUGGS, age 51 of Smyrna died Wednesday October 29, 2008. He was a native of Nashville and was preceded in death by parents, Richard and Ruth Ferguson Scruggs, and a brother, Michael Scruggs. He was a Real Estate developer and builder. He was a member of St. Patricks Anglican Church in Smyrna, and a former Marine. Visitation will be Saturday 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Funeral service 2:00PM Sunday at Smyrna First United Methodist Church, with Father Ray Kasch officiating, military rites to be held at the church. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Scruggs, children, Jonathan Scruggs of Nashville, Michael and Tara Scruggs both of Smyrna; brother, Toney Eugene Scruggs of Nashville; sister, Tammy (Edward) Thomas of Murfreesboro; father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Melvin and Fay (Mr. and Mrs. C.)
