James (Jimmy) Phillip Scott was born October 14 ^th , 1939 in Nashville, TN and departed this life on Friday, June 25 ^th , 2021. He was the only   son of Buford Scott, Jr. and Eulalia Baker Scott. Jimmy was a graduate of Old Antioch High School, (Class of 1959), and was very active in sports. Jimmy proudly served his country in the US Army. He retired from Methodist Publishing House after 30 years of service.

He leaves a vacant place in the hearts of all who loved him: his beloved wife of 55 years, Yvonne; his three daughters, Monica Scott (Todd), Christy Scott, and Jennifer Scott Fernandez (Lex); and two grandsons, Alex and Chase Fernandez.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 1 ^st , 2021 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with Bro. Nathan Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
