Jimmy Clayton Kirby, age 83, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2014. A native of Pikeville, TN he was the son of the late John H. and Margarite Davenport Kirby. Mr. Kirby was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Reba Cook Kirby. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Harold Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Kirby is survived by his son, Barry C. Kirby and his wife Kathy of Smyrna, TN; granddaughter, Bonita Kirby of Murfreesboro; great-granddaughter, Kyla Dowlen of Murfreesboro; and a sister, Hazel N. Ball and her husband Herbert of Springhill, TN. Mr. Kirby was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Navy. Mr. Kirby was a retired manufacturing representative with Reliance Electric. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials can be made to Northside Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Kirby. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
