JIMMY MACK HARGIS age 63 formerly of the Crescent Community, died Saturday Aug. 15, 2009 at his home in Manchester. He was a native of Rutherford County, and the son of the late Everett B. and Mildred Jones Hargis. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. John Hodge Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Foster Hargis, two sons, Randy (Nileen) Hargis of Murfreesboro, TN and Johnny Foster of Manchester, TN, two daughters, Katrina (Dick) Dieters of Murfreesboro, TN and Amanda (Kyle) Whittley of Manchester, TN. and the mother of his children, Marie Hargis, and one brother, Gene ( Eudora) Hargis of Murfreesboro, TN, six grandchildren, Shelby, and Rylee Dieters, Aisha Hargis, Jaylyn Foster, Kyler and Lyric Whittley, one niece and one nephew, Taylor and Benjamin Hargis. Mr. Hargis attended Rutledge Falls Baptist Church, retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation, and was a 1963 graduate of Christiana High School. Pallbearers will be Donnie Washer, Gilbert Fox, Terry Milburn, Todd Dodd, Doyle Lowe, and Jim Speakman.
