JIMMIE D. MARTIN, age 69, passed away at home on Monday, August 1, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd E. and Alpha R. Martin of West Memphis, AR. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanette B. Martin, three children Jeff (Laura) Martin, Julie (Jerry) Collins all of Murfreesboro, and Jason Martin of Germantown, WI. He is also survived by grandchildren Sara and Rachel Martin of Murfreesboro, Christopher and Joseph Collins of Murfreesboro and Justin Martin of Germantown, WI; a brother, Lloyd E. Martin, Jr. of Jonesboro, AR, and a sister, Patsy Carson of Coldwater, MS. Mr. Martin was born in Gideon, MO. He moved to West Memphis, AR as a teenager, and he resided there until retiring from the building materials industry in Memphis, TN. Upon retiring, he and Jeanette moved to Murfreesboro in 1999. He was an active member of Belle Aire Baptist Church. In Murfreesboro, he continued his lifelong love of the building industry by building custom homes part time in Rutherford County. Visitation will be at Woodfin Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 3rd at 1:30 PM with services following at 3:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Collins, Justin Martin, and Joseph Collins grandsons; Michael Carson, Mark Carson, and Brent Martin nephews.
