Jimmie Lynn Kelton, age 57 of Murfreesboro died Wednesday at home. He was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Lee Kelton and Beatrice Carmene Davenport Kelton. Mr. Kelton was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, and was retired from the United States Post Office, Woodbine Post Office. He was 1973 graduate of Riverdale High School and a received his Masters Degree from MTSU. Mr. Kelton coached Babe Ruth Baseball and was a long time Umpire of Baseball. Mr. Kelton is survived by his wife of 25 years, Diane Sanders Kelton; children, Christopher Davis and wife Morgane of Califiornia, Candice Northcutt and husband Matt of Murfreesboro; love of his life his granddaughters, Chloe, Celina, Kinley; brothers, Lee Don Kelton of Rockvale, Jack Kelton of Murfreesboro, Larry Pinkerton of Murfreesboro; sisters, Delorice Barrett of Murfreesboro, Pam Mack of Murfreesboro, Celeste Gills of Murfreesboro, step-mother, Sara Kelton Wilson of Murfreesboro. Funeral service will be 2:30PM Saturday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro. Jeff Cops will officiate. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
