Mr. Jim Harber, age 79, of Smyrna, TN passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017. He was born near Centerville, TN to the late Clovis Alfred and Emma Webster Alderson Harber. Mr. Harber owned Harber's Supermarket in Centerville for a number of years before working for Davis & Cook, then Harber's Refrigeration and Maynard Fixturecraft.  He faithfully attended Smyrna Church of Christ and proudly served his country for 13 years in the Army National Guard.

Mr. Harber is survived by his wife of 61 years, Glenda Owen Harber; four sons, J.D. Harber and his wife Greta of Nashville, Glenn Harber of Smyrna, Dwayne Harber and his wife Susan of Smyrna, and Darrin Harber of Smyrna; four grandchildren, Cara Beard, Hunter Harber, Katherine Harber, and Michael Harber; three great-grandchildren, Halle, Lucas, and Levi; sister, Faye Cherry and her husband Bob of Centerville; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randall Barry Harber.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2:00pm at Smyrna Church of Christ. Visitation with the family will follow the service. Burial of Mr. Harber's cremated remains will take place on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 2:00pm place in Nichols Cemetery in Centerville, TN.
