Jewel Marie Griffin of Murfreesboro, TN, went home to be with Jesus on April 26, 2016. She was born in Tullahoma, TN on September 28, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Jim and Edith Hill.

She leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Robert E. "Bob" Griffin; son, Robert S. "Bobby" Griffin of Charlotte, NC; grandson, Cris Griffin and wife Leslie of Calhoun, GA; granddaughters, Ashley Griffin and Allie Griffin both of Memphis, TN; and a great granddaughter, Stevie Reese Griffin. She is reunited with her son, James Wesley "Jimmy" Griffin and daughter, Patricia Lynn "Pat" Voss.

Mrs. Griffin was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church where she had many loving and supportive friends. Prior to marriage, she worked with a construction company at Camp Forest in Tullahoma and later with a wholesale grocery company, Smotherman-Wolmack.

Jewel had a gentle loving spirit and alwas put the needs of others before her own. Her strong faith and love of the Lord touched the lives of everyone who had the priviledge of knowing her. She will be greatly missed.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Griffin can be made to Northside Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Ken Polk will officiate. A graveside service will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tullahoma, TN.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
