Jessica Clara McDonald Delbridge, devoted and beloved wife, mother and grandmother, age 82, passed away on January 22, 2012 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee after a long illness. She was married to Ed Delbridge, Rutherford County Native, photographer, real estate developer and entrepreneur with whom she closely worked throughout his business career. At the time of his death in 2008, they had been married 59 years. Mrs. Delbridge was the daughter of the late Eugene Ingram and Marguerite Elizabeth Tritschler McDonald of Nashville, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Ward-Belmont in Nashville and attended Middle Tennessee State College to pursue her interest in Art Education before marrying in 1949. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Murfreesboro and the United Methodist Womens Organization. She was also a member of the Rutherford Hospital Auxiliary, the Murfreesboro Charity Circle, the Womens Club, and served on the City of Murfreesboro Arts Commission for many years. She is survived by her daughters Debbie Delbridge Cope and husband Jim of Murfreesboro, Sally Delbridge Coble and husband Neely III and Jessica Delbridge Woosley and her husband Lee of Nashville, and six grandchildren-Evan Cope and his wife Beth and Ingram Cope of Murfreesboro, Neely Coble IV and his wife Lauren, Edward Coble, Harry Woosley and Katherine Woosley of Nashville. The family is especially grateful for the steadfast, loving devotion of Cousin Alice Tritschler McNamee. The family would also like to express its appreciation to Dr. Karl VanDevender for his compassionate care and to Barbara Fanning and her caregivers for their tender assistance these past 8 years. The family also wishes to thank the staff at the Adams Place, Richland Place and Alive Hospice. Memorials for Mrs. Delbridge may be made to the Clara and Ed Delbridge Nursing Scholarship Fund at Middle Tennessee Medical Center Foundation, 1700 Medical Center Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 or the First United Methodist Church, 265 West Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Services will be 2:00PM Tuesday, January 24th at the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro with Reverend Michael OBannon and Rev. Thad Austin officiating. Visitation with family begins at 12:30 P.M. at the church prior to the service. A burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Grandsons, sons-in-law and Randy Odom will serve as pallbearers.
