Jerry Thomas Melton, age 65, of Murfreesboro, passed away March 6, 2015. He was a native of Charleston, West Virginia and son of the late Jerry C. and Virginia Jividen Melton. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. John Hinkle officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. Melton is survived by an uncle and aunt, Lester and Marjorie Jividen of Eleanor, WV and another Aunt, Iris Jividen of Ohio; and a host of cousins. Mr. Melton was a graduate of Nitro High School in Nitro, WV and West Virginia State University. He was a retired production control supervisor for Sunoco Products in Culoden, WV.
