Mr. Jerry Baxter Jackson, Jr., age 79, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 13, 2017. He was born in Murfreesboro, TN to the late Jerry Baxter Jackson, Sr. and Reba Malone Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a 1956 graduate of Central High School and received his bachelor's degree in Economics from Middle Tennessee State University. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Mr. Jackson owned and operated Jackson Olds-Cadillac for a number of years before opening Jackson Auto Sales from which he retired in 2013. He faithfully attended First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 51 years, Emily Hendley Jackson; sons, Jay Jackson and his wife Priscilla and Jeff Jackson and his wife Terra all of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, Raegan Grace Jackson, Jerry Baxter Jackson, IV ("Baxter"), Savannah Jo Jackson, and Shelby Reese Jackson; sister, Marietta Jackson Bishop; and faithful canine companions, Hannah and Chloe.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro. Rev. Michael O'Bannon will officiate. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Lillian Branson Sunday School Class will be honorary pallbearers.
