Gerald "Jerry" D. Carr, age 56 of Smyrna, died Monday at Centennial Medical Center. He was a native of Akron, Ohio and was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Alicia Carr. Survivors include his wife Linda Carr; daughters, Jennifer Carr and Nikki Carr both of Smyrna and Sonya Miner and her husband Mark of Readyville; a son Chad Dickson and his wife Sarah of Smyrna; a brother Jimmy Carr and his wife Sue of Orangeburg, SC and a sister Lisa Carr and her partner Jerry Fuoco of Clearwater, FL; four grandchildren Dalton and Lexi Miner and Lance and Ryan Cagle and an uncle Bud Anderson and his partner Ray of Akron, Ohio. Mr. Carr had worked for Schneider Electric for 34 years and was an accomplished woodworker. Visitation with the family will be Saturday morning from 10:00am until the time of memorial services beginning at 11:00am at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
