Obituary

Jerry Beachum Bowman- Age 55 He is preceded in death by his father, Beachum Bowman. He is survived by his mother Christine Bowman; his loving and devoted wife of 35 years Marilyn Silk Bowman; son, Blake Beachum Bowman and his wife Monica; son, Andrew Wayne Bowman; granddaughter, Emma Bowman; brother Ken Bowman; sisters, Judy Greenway and Sandra Willard; numerous loving sisters and brothers in law, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and countless friends. Beachum was a native and lifelong resident of Mufreesboro. He was an active member of the Rockvale Ruritan Club for almost 20 years. He donated his time serving numerous roles within the organization while helping local community members. He is most know for his work organizing the annual 4th of July Picnic and the spring baseball program at Rockvale. Beachum loved the outdoors where he enjoyed many hobbies. One of which was metal detecting for Civil War artifacts. He was published twice by a nationally printed Civil War magazine for his local finds in Rutherford County. Beachum was also a member of New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. The family wishes to thank Alive Hospice and especially Pam Patterson, for all of their compassionate care they gave Beachum. Beachum was greatly respected and revered by all of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, but remembered for his great love of life, family and friends. Visitation will be at Woodfin Memorial Chapel September 3rd from 4pm to 8pm and the funeral will be held on September 4th at 11am at New Vision Baptist Church; Brother Brady Cooper officiating.
