Born December 27th,1941 to Clyde and Audrey Bostic, she was a force of nature from day one. Those who truly knew her were few, but to know her was to love her deeply. A matriarch and fearless protector of her tribe, "Nam's"or "Nazzi" was everything to everyone. She fed us, nurtured us, told us exactly how it was whether we wanted to hear or not, and she loved us unconditionally.
With a resume that began in politics and ran the gamut from sign language interpreter to Property Management, Diane (or Deanna Gail as Papaw liked to call her) was a Renaissance woman. She loved to travel, cook, debate politics, gamble, shop, stay up late, and laugh-- oh how she loved to laugh. With a mind as sharp as her tongue, Jenny Dee was a heroine, a role model, and a mentor to many.
As much as she will be missed here, we know how happy she must be to finally hold her baby, Scott Vickers--she missed him for far too long. And to be reunited with her parents, Clyde and Audrey Bostic, her brother Tim Bostic, nephew Caleb Skeens and her longtime love Dickie Vickers.
She leaves behind a host of family and friends who will miss her terribly, but will celebrate her life forever--Her sister and brother-in-law Janie and Robert Frazier, sister Rebecca Bostic.
Sister-in-law, Carol Bostic.
Her son Richard Vickers of Stone, KY. Daughter Candria Vickers Scott of Stone, KY. Daughter and son-in-law Constance Bennett and Rick Bennett of Smyrna,Tennessee.
Grandchildren, Christin Vickers, Kerri Hicks (Rodney Hicks), Zachary Scott, Kayla Bledsoe (Darin Bledsoe), Haley Bennett: and Great-Grandson Prince Hicks.
"She was the cook, the hostess, the comforter, and the keeper of all the mysterious secrets for how to do just about everything."
