Jeannette Spellman Nichols, age 84 of Smyrna died Thursday April 4, 2013. She was a native of Memphis, and the daughter of the late, John and Nettie Metlin Spellman. Mrs. Nichols was a graduate of George Peabody University and retired from the English Department at MTSU. Mrs. Nichols is survived by her son, Steve Andrade of Knoxville; daughters, Julia Taylor of Smyrna, Miriam Andrade of CA; brother, John Spellman of MS, and Bubba Spellman of Memphis; sisters, Mary Dillingham, Brenda Hollyfield and Ida Faye Hollyfield all of MS; three grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Rev. Sushil Joseph will officiate. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
