Jean Carroll, age 81 of Murfreesboro died after a lengthy illness Thursday, December 6, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 12, 1931 in Clifton, TN and was the daughter of the late Neal and Ruth Adams Jeter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rex Carroll in 1968. Mrs. Carroll worked as an assistant manager at Clarks Discount Store. She later worked at Albertsons and Kroger and after her retirement she ran a daycare in her home. She is survived by a son Gary Carroll (Brenda Blanton) and a daughter Pamela Barrett all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren Teresa Barrett and Michael Barrett and five great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Stones River National Cemetery under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel Murfreesboro.
