JEAN BARRETT age 69 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Monday August 17, 2009. A native of Smith County, she was the daughter of the late William Belcher and the late Mary Ellen Annie Key Mullen. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles McKnight officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Barrett is survived by husband, Robert Bobby Barrett, daughters, Karen Knopfel Williams of Smyrna, TN and Cheri Barrett Griffith of Auburntown, TN. She is also survived by sisters, Faye Chapman of Portsmouth, VA, Margie Huffines of Florida, Shirley Lakata of Virginia Beach, VA, Gail Jernigan of North Carolina, and Debbie Wilson of Durham North Carolina, and three grandchildren, Tommy and Bethany Griffith and Anna Williams. She was preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Jernigan. She was loved and will be missed by many. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Third Baptist Church and a cosmetic consultant of Charles of the Ritz cosmetics at Goldsteins Department Store on the square.
